Is a picture of the mother plant available?

If there is no mother plant picture listed, we most likely do not have one. Depending on the species, not every plant requires a reference to the mother plant picture.

Is a picture of the roots available?

Since repeatedly removing the roots from the potting mix can damage the root system, we can only provide pictures of the roots before shipment. We carefully inspect all the roots of our plants to ensure they are healthy and sufficient. If any plant is found to have insufficient roots, we will assist you in finding a replacement or offer a refund.

How will the plants be packed?

Most of our plants will be shipped bare-root with damp moss, unless specified otherwise. The plants will be carefully packed with poly-fil and wrapped in wrapping paper. If you select the winter shipping solution, which is highly recommended during cold seasons, an additional layer of insulation will be added outside the wrapping paper.

How can I combine orders from different platforms?

When will the order be shipped?

Orders are typically shipped on Mondays and Tuesdays to avoid sitting in the post office over the weekend. Due to our workload, it may take up to a week to process orders placed after 5 PM on Sunday.

How long the shipment will take?

For standard shipping, we use USPS Priority, which typically takes 1-4 days without delays (only boroughs in New York City or nearby cities may receive 1-day shipping). For express shipping, we use UPS 2nd Day Air or Next Day Air Saver, which takes 1-2 days without delays. Since we only ship plants on Mondays and Tuesdays, if there are no delays, you should receive your plant(s) within the same week we ship them.

How will we assist if the package gets delayed?

First, please stay calm and don’t panic. We completely understand how you feel. While we have no control over the package once it’s handed over to USPS or UPS, we recommend calling them to open a case for the shipment (sometimes they may ask you to contact the sender, but it’s easier for you to track the process if the receiver opens the case). If you encounter any issues, please don’t hesitate to let us know. If you receive a case number, kindly send it to us, and we will also contact them to expedite the process.

How we will help if the package get lost?

If the package gets lost, we will immediately work with the shipping carrier to investigate and track the package. While we cannot control the delivery process once it’s with USPS or UPS, we will assist you in filing a claim and resolving the issue. If the package cannot be located, we will work with you to offer a replacement 

How will we help if the plant gets damaged due to mistreatment during shipment?

If the plant gets damaged due to mistreatment during shipment, please contact us as soon as possible with clear photos of the damage. We will work with the shipping carrier to resolve the issue and offer a replacement, depending on the extent of the damage. We strive to pack our plants carefully, and if damage occurs, we’ll do everything we can to make it right.

Is the winter shipping solution necessary?

To fulfill our live guarantee during the winter season, we require the winter shipping solution. It is highly recommended if the temperature is below 59°F (15°C) to protect your plants from potential cold damage. Please check the temperature between New York and your location before purchasing. If you’re unsure, you can go ahead and purchase the winter shipping solution. We will recheck the temperature before shipping, and if we determine it’s not necessary, we will refund the cost of the winter shipping solution.

What needs to be prepared before the plant is delivered?

Since we ship plants bare-root, you will need to prepare the potting mix and planter before the plant(s) arrive. Please refer to our Plant Rehabilitation Guidelines for detailed instructions. (Click Here)

What type of soil is used in our greenhouse?

We use The Basements PON as our soil in the greenhouse. If you have questions about substrates, please refer to our substrate post for more details. (click here)
